Join us for a celebration of Earth Day and the 10-year anniversary of Rio de Los Angeles State Park (1900 N. San Fernando Rd)!
This event will be a great way for you to learn more about sustainability, as well as connect with sustainability solutions at booths representing community groups, and also celebrate the art of local youth. On stage, we’ll have speakers giving talks on a variety of sustainability topics, and in between these talks will be performances from local youth (dance, instrumental, choral). There will also be an art garden to display local youth artworks (contact us if you’d like to be included).
See the full-size flyer with additional info: FRONT / BACK (incl. full list of booths)
This event is co-sponsored by Glassell Park Neighborhood Council, Glassell Park Improvement Association, Greater Cypress Park Neighborhood Council, Rio de Los Angeles State Park, Council District 1’s Gil Cedillo, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, The California State Parks Foundation, and Northeast Trees.

NorthEast Trees is hosting a tree planting event in the natural wetlands area of Rio de Los Angeles State Park on the morning of Glassell Park’s upcoming Earth Day event (which will also be held in Rio de Los Angeles State Park) on Saturday, April 22nd. The event is funded by the California State Parks Foundation, and you’re invited to sign up now. They need 75 volunteers total, and the spots are filling up fast!
