Veronica Huerta

My name is Veronica Huerta, I grew up in Mexico but have lived in Glassell Park since 2018. I became involved with my community soon after moving to Los Angeles, first with Proyecto Jardin learning about composting and urban agriculture, and later joining the Eagle Rock/Highland Park chapter of SELAH to build relationships with my unhoused neighbors and advocate for their well being. I joined the GPNC in 2021 and now chair the Housing and Homelessness Committee where we discuss resources and policies that affect our neighborhood. I am currently serving on the Executive Committee as the Treasurer.  I strongly believe that getting involved at the neighborhood and city level has the greatest and most direct impact on our day to day lives.
